Mobile Magic is a Maine-based start-up founded in 2012 to develop augmented reality applications. The premiere product offering of Mobile Magic is an augmented reality marketing app for smartphones. It allows users to utilize virtual art tools and building blocks to create and share virtual art and graphics that are attached to real buildings.

Augmented Reality is the concept of displaying digital information over real-world video in order to display more data to the viewer. As a concept it has existed for close to a century but until now there was no way to provide it to everyday consumers. With the advent of mobile computing technology and, in particular, smartphones, AR has moved from fantasy to reality. Mobile processing power is finally affordable yet able to handle the speeds required to make smooth running AR applications for every-day use. The software utilizes the smartphone camera, sensors, and data connection to synchronize live video with overlaid animations or interactive 3D content.
